COE Press Equipment (Sterling Heights, MI) has announced that it has recently installed a new press feeding line at North American Stamping Group (NASG)’s Portland, TN, facility, which produces stamped parts and welded assemblies for the automotive and other industries. This system joins ten other COE lines already installed at various NASG locations.
The 72 in line can process coil from 0.040 in to 0.325 in thick material, depending upon the width and steel strength. It features a 72 in servo roll feed with a ServoMaster Touch controller, a 72 in by 14 ft dual threading table with a roller top, and a 50,000 lb capacity coil reel. The line also includes a 406 power straightener featuring ultrasonic variable speed loop control with a 3-position selector switch.
Additionally, the system comes with perimeter guarding and safety controls. COE also provided installation, startup and training for the lines.
