John Malack has joined Laboratory Testing Inc. (LTI; Hatfield, PA) as a customer service representative. In his new role, he will service both new and existing customers who place orders for materials testing, nondestructive testing and calibration services.
LTI is an accredited, independent testing laboratory in business since 1984. Malack brings 20 years of related experience to his position, including previous employment with customers of LTI in the steel tubing and fastener fields. As a customer service rep, he will be responsible for quoting, expediting orders, and providing information on capabilities, qualifications and order status.
In addition to adding this position to customer service, LTI has also hired three inside sales reps, two outside sales reps and a second coordinator in the sales/customer service department within the past two years. “Customers need fast answers to questions, and quick turnaround on their quotes and orders. It’s our priority to make sure we deliver,” said Mike Hiller, the director of new business development. “Our Sales/Customer Service team is the front line with our customers, so we built a very accessible and responsive group to meet our customers’ needs.”
Malack most recently was employed by Penn Stainless Products with responsibility for inside sales, customer service and quality control. In preparation for their ISO 9000 certification, he earned an Auditing Certificate in materials and processes. Previous employers include Hewlett Packard in the position of project manager and B&G Manufacturing as assistant foreman in the warehouse, where he also performed some hardness testing. Malack is a graduate of Gwynedd Mercy College with a BA in a dual major in business and history.
