Do Not Touch
Because maintenance and set-up technicians are often interrupted while working on equipment, this app can be used to secure and cover the control screen so that no one else touches the machine or impedes the repair or set-up.

On the manufacturing floor, maintenance and set-up technicians are often interrupted while performing these necessary tasks. During the interruptions it is preferable that no one else touch the machine so as not to impede the repair or set-up process. In many instances, the technician merely places a note on the door or control screen of the machine asking people to “Do not touch.”
The Screen Blocker app from Okuma America Corporation (Charlotte, NC) is essentially a password-protected, high-tech piece of paper used to cover the control screen during machine maintenance and set-up. Users can customize the app to suit their particular safeguarding needs. Developed as a more reliable replacement for the standard piece of paper that service technicians and others have been using for decades; the app is password protected and prevents unauthorized users from accessing the control screen and disrupting maintenance or set-up procedures.
Using apps on a control is one of the simplest, fastest ways to make significant productivity gains quickly. To determine if your machine is compatible with any of the available apps, the System Compatibility Output Utility (SCOUT) app provides a detailed report of your system’s configuration and a list of all available apps and their compatibility status for your machine. SCOUT will let you know what your system needs in order to use specific apps in order to maximize productivity.
