These are forums for interaction between customers and the software team, and meaningful peer interaction.

Delivering the latest news in product development in SURFCAM (Gloucestershire, UK) to customers in CA, WA, AZ, and TX, a company management and technical team are hosting six SURFCAM user-group meetings through May. Far more than technical showcases, the gatherings serve as a forum for valuable interaction between customers and the software team, as well as for meaningful peer interaction.
For Peter Marton, the SURFCAM general manager, the user-group meetings are an opportunity to receive customer feedback on the latest product developments in the upcoming release of software, to strengthen existing relationships, and to better understand the evolving needs of users.
Ashley Long, a CNC programming instructor at Chabot College in Hayward, CA, has been attending these user-group meetings since 1992. He and Randy Murrow, an assistant CNC programming instructor, use this software in their classroom. “The meetings are very interesting, very informative,” said Murrow, who attended a recent California-based user-group meeting with cohort Long. “The guys are very knowledgeable; they really know what they’re talking about.”
Among the topics of discussion at each meeting this year is the newest product release in 2015. Users are encouraged to contact their account representatives to attend their local event.
