Coldwater Machine Company (Coldwater, OH), a leading engineering solutions supplier that designs, manufactures and integrates precision equipment for a variety of industries, has announced the opening of a sales office in Troy, MI. Just north of Detroit, the new location was selected for its close proximity to numerous OEMs and supplier companies within the automotive, aerospace and other industries.
“With our advanced friction welding technologies for the joining of lightweight and dissimilar materials, we are well-positioned to help the automotive as well as other industries achieve higher use of aluminum, composites and other lightweight structures in their designs,” said Tim McCaughey of Coldwater Machine Company. “Having a sales office situated in this technology corridor will help us to better serve these customers.”
The new office, located in the Liberty Center building, will be run by Robert Rich, Coldwater’s Solid State Joining Center director, who has extensive materials processing experience within the automotive industry.
In addition to its advanced joining capabilities, Coldwater Machine offers custom machines and automation equipment such as robotic work cells, vision inspection systems, and assembly lines, to name a few.
