Mazak Optonics Makes Moves in the Southeast U.S.
Mazak Optonics has announced it’s partnership with ProMac Technologies as their new Southeast region distributor, along with appointing of Art Weinerman as the new Southeast region sales manager for the company.

Mazak Optonics Corporation (Elgin, IL) is pleased to welcome a new regional sales manager, Art Weinerman, to the team. Weinerman will be covering the Southeast territory, including Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and Florida. His background includes 38 years in the precision metal fabrication industry, split between both sales and manufacturing.
“Art is a welcome addition to our regional sales group,” stated Al Bohlen, the general manager and vice president of Mazak Optonics. “With extensive industry experience combined with a strong laser background, we are very confident in his abilities to support our sales network in the Southeast.”

In related news, the company also announced it has partnered with ProMac Technologies as its new Southeast region distributor, based in Charlotte, NC. The company will serve manufacturers and job shops in the states of North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia, focusing on the company’s full line of laser-cutting systems along with a select group of other advanced manufacturing technologies.
ProMac president Bob Lauer is enthusiastic about the opportunity to represent the Mazak Optonics brand. With over 27 years of technical and industry experience in the laser cutting field, Lauer will extend his expertise to grow and expand the Mazak Optonics presence in the region.
Combining Mazak’s wide range of laser products with ProMac’s vast laser experience, the partnership will provide enhanced consultation in manufacturing solutions geared specifically toward customer application requirements, increased productivity and overall profitability.
