Tebis Opens New Sales Office in California

The CAD/CAM supplier is targeting tool, die, mold, aerospace and automotive manufacturing opportunities in this region.

Tebis America, Inc. (Troy, MI), a leading software company specializing in CAD/CAM systems for design and manufacturing servicing the tool, die, mold, aerospace and automotive manufacturing industries, has announced the opening of a new office in California. The new office, currently located in Orange County, is managed by Michael Thiessen and will cover the entire west coast.

The announcement was made by David Klotz, the chief executive officer and president of Tebis North America, who stated, “With our expansion to the West Coast we are better able to serve our customers in this vitally important area. California is a natural choice for our operation. With our continued growth in North America we need to meet the challenges of our expanding markets.”

Thiessen added, “The West Coast, and in particular California, represents an integral part to our growth in the automotive and aerospace industries. We want to have a strong sales and support team here and bring our knowhow in CAD/CAM technology of 30 years to our clients on the west coast.”

Thiessen has been with the company for over 11 years. He began his career with Tebis as an application and support specialist before becoming an account manager handling the Ford account in addition to other clients.

Tebis America, part of Tebis AG (Munich, Germany), develops CAD/CAM systems for tool, die and mold manufacturing, primarily for automobile and aircraft manufacturers and their subcontractors from the styling, model making, tool and mold manufacturing sectors. The company supplies turnkey installations and also provides a full suite of 40 software modules focusing on increasing its customers’ ability to reach higher profits through consulting implementing of new technology, training and support.
