The ALM Materials Handling (Streator, IL) Positioners Autobahn Endurance Racing Series debuted June 1st, with a field full of beautiful cars divided into 4 classes for the 3.5 Hour Enduro on the Autobahn Country Club South Course.
As the race neared the final hour all eyes were on the sky as heavy clouds were letting go of a few rain drops that kept everybody on edge guessing when the rain would start in earnest.
As the checkers flew small rain drops continued but ultimately had no effect on the race. H&H Racing ran a flawless race and took home the GT3 class and overall win. The top 3 in the Stuttgart Caymans could finally take a breath as Bloom and Osiecki crossed the line first followed closely by Rashinski/Lewis with Rodrigo Salas playing the role of ironman by driving the entire race solo and coming home third.
The GT1 victors were the GSD Racing team consisting of Tom Collins, Denny Hiffman and Ed Dunne.
The Spec Miata battle continued through to the end with the ALM Scroggin Motorsport entry of Brett Scroggin and Amy Wittkamper running a fantastic race to take the victory.
The next round of the ALM Positioners Autobahn Endurance Racing Series is set for Aug 1, this time on the Autobahn Full Course. Registration is now open for this event which is open to all competition licensed race teams.
