CNC Plate Shear Eliminates Manual Layout

Trilogy Machinery, Inc. (Belcamp, MD), the U.S. distributor for SUNRISE Ironworkers and Punching Machines, is pleased to introduce the new SUNRISE CNC Plate Shear In-Feed System for all Sunrise Dual-Cylinder ironworkers including models with CNC Punching.

The SUNRISE CNC Plate Shear System features a powered in-feed system capable of handling up to 20 ft lengths of material, including powerful Mitsubishi servo motor, hydraulic clamping with knurled drive rollers, dual linear encoders, dual proximity sensors, hydraulic plate hold-down, touch-screen control and boasts a 16 fpm speed and ± 0.006 in/foot positioning accuracy.

This new CNC Plate Shear System can be factory-installed on any Sunrise Dual-Cylinder ironworker with capacity from 16 in to  30 in plate widths and up to 1-1/8 in thickness. The operation and programming are CNC controlled using a touch-screen control featuring operator friendly programming with nesting capability. The operator simply positions the plate on the supplied roller table with squaring arm, initiates the hydraulic clamping and the machine processes the plate automatically.

Coupled with a Semi or Fully-Automatic CNC on the punch, this robust package will offer customers the greatest flexibility and efficiency by eliminating manual layout and dramatically increasing productivity with CNC sheared plates and CNC punched holes.
