Hertzler Systems Inc. (Goshen, IN) is offering a free download of its new Easy SPC Resource Kit to manufacturing executives who want a better understanding about how new Statistical Process Control (SPC) technology can benefit their operations. Based on Hertzler’s 30-plus years of implementing their flagship product, GainSeeker Suite, in thousands of world-class manufacturers around the world, the kit outlines best practices for deploying and benefiting from real-time SPC.

The kit helps business leaders evaluate, plan, and implement real-time statistical data systems to increase throughput, profitability, and quality, and to reduce costs. It addresses key topics including identifying requirements, making the business case, and planning the implementation.

“Recent research shows that a pure play Statistical Process Control solution such as GainSeeker Suite deploys faster and delivers a more powerful financial benefit than other manufacturing software. This guide is less about GainSeeker Suite and more about taking advantage of technological advances to drive continuous improvement and improved profitability to the bottom line.” said Evan Miller, president and chief executive officer of Hertzler.

“It’s designed to help address questions like who will be impacted by the system and how they will benefit from it, and how to implement a system. The kit helps you think about expenses and your expected return on investment. At the end of the day, this kit will help you make a better business decision about implementing an automated, real-time SPC solution.”

The kit also includes an executive presentation tool with suggestions for how to frame the suggested SPC approach in the language of C-level executives. “Manufacturing executives are under a lot of pressure to perform and the old saying ‘too busy fighting alligators to drain the swamp’ is reality for many of them,” said Miller. “That’s why we focused the kit so heavily on understanding and communicating the financial benefit of the system so everyone is clear why the company should be doing this now, amid all the competing concerns.”

“It goes beyond SPC, too, detailing OEE, that is overall equipment effectiveness, laboratory data and environmental data,” said Miller. “The kit provides a vision of what is possible with improved visibility of real-time data in manufacturing.”
