Mazak Optonics Partners with Tekmag

Mazak Optonics Corp. (Elgin, IL) has announced a new partnership with Tekmag, an Italian automation systems manufacturer specializing in customized storage solutions. The new partnership will add to a continuing 12 years of providing automation systems for clients of Mazak Optonics’ sister company, Mazak Europe.

Located in Milan, Italy, Tekmag was founded in 1999 with the aim to offer innovative storage solutions for a diverse and growing customer base. Throughout the years, Tekmag has collaborated with its clients to develop precisely customized automation systems, in addition to its full range of standard products.

The firm’s standard product line includes a broad collection of automation and storage solutions ranging from sheet load/unload systems to automated storage/retrieval systems. Each product operates with Mazak Line Controller software which offers a significant increase in efficiency by minimizing machine downtimes.

Tekmag also carries compact vertical systems which are able to automatically and quickly move large volumes of material while occupying minimal space. The OPTIPLEX 3015 4kW Fiber laser is designed to process reflective materials with greater thicknesses and at greater speeds than its CO2 counterpart and can cut up to 0.750 in in stainless steel and 0.625 in in aluminum with impressive accuracy. The fiber design can also significantly reduce operating costs for applicable material types and thicknesses.
