This universal-mount air atomizing spray nozzle is ideal for cooling, air pollution control, coating processes and lubrication applications in the shop.

MI-BEX Incorporated’s (Ann Arbor, MI) BEX design, which is available in both T-Tip and atomizing configurations, features a universal mounting system that allows—in a multi-nozzle line—one nozzle. Unlike other designs, it does not require the entire line of nozzles to be removed for quick-disconnect maintenance and/or replacement. The unique design uses a set screw assembly and mounting slot to affix the nozzle to the line as opposed to the closed-loop guide of other similarly designed nozzles.

The atomizing nozzles mix air and liquid supplied at line pressures of up to 125 psi. The self-contained air cylinder provides controlled on/off operation at any desired frequency up to 180 cycles per min. The nozzles come in a choice of round, wide angle round and flat spray patterns and are made in nickel-plated brass or stainless steel and are built to provide uniform distribution of the atomized spray.

BEX air atomizing spray nozzles use compressed air (or gas) to produce and accurately controlled liquid dispersion in applications where a conventional spray nozzle would not be suitable. The packings and gaskets in the nozzle withstand continuous use at temperatures up to 400 degrees F (205 degrees C) and the air cylinder packing is recommended for temperatures up to 150 degrees F (65 deg C). Typical applications include food processing, humidification, cooling, air pollution control, coating processes, lubrication, curing, chemical dispersion and many others.

The company is a leader in providing unique and patented technology to improve spray application quality and reduce maintenance. For over 50 years, the BEX design and development team has provided answers to tough application questions in a variety of industries.

The company’s focus is on quality products, competitive pricing and fast delivery. Its ongoing commitment to research and development provides the basis for its ability to provide products that meet the changing needs of the industrial environment.
