Wolf Robotics Participated in The Robotic Arc Welding Competition at NRAWC.

The Milwaukee Area Technical College played host to the CRAW competition at the National Robotic Arc Welding Conference on June 5th. The event invited welders to showcase their talent in one of Wolf’s CRAW standardized teaching cells.

The competition was an abbreviated version of the actual CRAW testing procedure and consisted of a written portion and the actual welding of a CRAW sample to test the contestants’ knowledge and robotic welding skill. Each task was limited to twenty minutes.

AWS live streamed the event worldwide, allowing viewers to cheer their contestants on from abroad. The contestants were: Nick Yung (MATC), Jennifer Hildebrandt (MATC), Tyson Schroeder (Tenneco), and Anthony Godinez (Ferris State).

Once both tasks were completed contestants were evaluated by their written tests, weld quality, and the total time they took to complete both tasks. With a 100 percent on the test and a weld time of around 15 minutes, Anthony Godinez was able to separate himself from the rest and was claimed the winner of the competition. Anthony was awarded free CRAW certification at any approved testing center, as well as a welding helmet provided by Wolf Robotics.
