Filter Technology System to Kyocera

Filter Technology, the leading designer and builder of high performance metalworking filtration systems was recently awarded a contract by Kyocera CTC Precision Tools private Limited located in Jamshedpur, India.

Kyocera CTC searched worldwide before selecting Filter Technology LLC (Livonia, MI) to design, engineer and supply a central carbide filtration system for their new facility in India.

“We are gratified by the confidence they have placed in our technology,” Armstrong said.

Last year it was announced that Kyocera and CTC would enter into a joint-venture agreement to establish a manufacturing company in India, to further strengthen their industrial cutting tool business in the Indian market.

“Capable of continuously delivering clean coolant at clarity of less than 1 micron, our systems remove all of the particulate, fines and abrasives before returning the fluid back to the grinding wheel at the required pressure. The collected sludge is discharged as a dry cake for easy reclamation of carbide and valuable materials. The high capacity filtering and the ability to reclaim the materials are of particular interest to the customer.” Armstrong pointed out.
