Lincoln Electric Promotes Two North American Sales and Marketing Executives
Michael S. Mintun is the new vice president, sales and marketing for North America, and Phil Bouchard is the new U.S. sales manager.

Michael Mintun is named vice president of sales and marketing and Phil Bouchard becomes the U.S sales manager.
Lincoln Electric Holdings, Inc. (Cleveland, OH) announced that Michael S. Mintun has been named vice president, sales and marketing for North America. In his new role, Mintun will focus on the development and implementation of strategic sales and marketing initiatives for the Company’s North American business.
In addition, Phil Bouchard has been named to the position of U.S. sales manager and will be responsible for driving the strategy and daily activities of the U.S. sales organization.
“In his previous position as vice president of sales for North America, Mike was directly responsible for leading our U.S. and Canadian businesses to record sales levels,” said George Blankenship, the senior vice president and president of Lincoln Electric North America. “To allow Mike to focus more exclusively on strategic sales and marketing initiatives, we have named Phil Bouchard to take the position of US sales manager. Phil brings strong organizational and analytical skills, a balanced sales approach and a proven track record in using our entire product portfolio to sell Lincoln’s value proposition to our key end-user customers. Both Mike and Phil are highly qualified to lead our outstanding U.S. sales and marketing team to even greater levels of achievement.”
After he joined the company as a sales trainee in 1984, Mintun worked as a technical sales representative in the company’s New York City and Pittsburgh district offices, district manager of the Southwest Ontario District in Canada, and U.S. national accounts manager.
In 2000, he was promoted to vice president of sales, Lincoln Electric Company of Canada, and was named U.S. national sales manager in 2002. He was promoted to sales manager – North America in 2006 and became vice president, sales – North America in 2008. He earned a bachelor’s degree in metallurgy and materials engineering at Lehigh University.
Mintun is a member of the American Welding Society and the Gases and Welding Distributors’ Association. He currently serves on the Sponsor Board of the FFA (Future Farmers of America) and the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army of Greater Cleveland.
Bouchard joined Lincoln Electric in 1990 as a sales trainee and worked as a technical sales representative in the Atlanta and Fort Wayne offices and district manager in the Baton Rouge and Chicago offices. In 2006, he was promoted to his most recent position as North Central regional manager. He earned a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering at Wentworth Institute of Technology.
