L.S. Starrett Company (Athol, MA) announces its new MMD Series Dual-Column Material Testing System and MMS Series Single-Column Material System used for more advanced material testing to meet the technical demands of engineers and research scientists.
Our robust product features clearly differentiate us from our competitors. With a granite base and overall rugged design, the MMD Series Dual-Column Test Frame is ideal for testing larger material samples such as metals, composites, building products, automotive and aerospace materials where flexibility is required for low and high capacity testing.
The MMD Series model is also suitable for tensile, compression, flexural, cyclic and shear testing including constant load hold testing. The dual-column test frames are available in 10 kN, 30 kN and 50 kN capacities.
In situations with limited work spaces, the compact design of the MMS Series Single Column Material Testing System may be better suited for tensile, compression, cyclic, flexural, peel and shear testing. The MMS Series Material Testing System features an adjustable base plate to ensure proper load string alignment and magnetic travel limits that prevent accidental overloading conditions. The load cell sensors are self-recognizing and comply with IEEE 1451.4 (TEDS). The single-column test frames are available in 500 N, 1 kN, 2.5 kN and 5 kN capacities.
With the Starrett L3 software, you can create, test, analyze and report your results efficiently and effectively. The options are endless. You can find points, determine modulus and offsets, define peaks and valleys, calculate averages, and minimum and maximum values with simple-to-use graphic analysis tools. With L3, you can request results prior to your test, or obtain results after your test is performed using graphic analysis tools.
Users have the capability of viewing test curves in full-screen views and combination graph views in real-time. Results for stress, strain, load, distance and time tests are graphically displayed as they occur. In addition to graphical views, the L3 software includes export functionality that allows users to easily and simply export data to third-party applications for SPC and reporting.
Managing your data and your results is easy with basic report formats, and .csv data files, and export functionality to Microsoft® Excel®, Word®, Access®. If you prefer, you can directly interface with your SPC software for comprehensive reporting. Managing your data and results is easy with simple archival and saving procedures.
