Harris Products Group Hires New District Sales Manager

J. Jones has joined the sales team as the district sales manager responsible for supporting customers in Texas and the Gulf Coast.

The Harris Products Group (HPG; Mason, OH), an international manufacturer of cutting, brazing, soldering and welding alloys and equipment, recently announced J. Jones has joined the sales team as the district sales manager for the Texas Gulf Coast.

Jones is a 12-year veteran of industrial sales with experience in welding and cutting, most recently with a Harris competitor. He has served customers in East Texas, South Arkansas and North Central Louisiana. His previous experience also includes time as a global training specialist and technical sales manager.

“I am confident J. will be a great asset to The Harris Products Group,” said Patrick Fagerquist, the vice president of North American sales for HPG. “His knowledge and experience makes him an excellent resource for our customers.”

Jones earned an associate degree of applied arts and sciences in welding technology and a bachelor of science in education from Texas A&M University-Commerce. He is also a Certified Welding Educator with the American Welding Society (Miami, FL) and is a longstanding member with leadership roles at the local section and national level. He currently sits on the Board of Directors representing District 17.

In his new role with HPG, he is responsible for supporting customers in Texas and the Gulf Coast, offering customer-focused solutions. He represents a full product portfolio, including industrial and specialty gas equipment and welding, brazing and soldering equipment and consumables.
