Milltronics Has New Group Vice President

Paul Wichert is the new group vice president for the LDI Machine Tools Group, which includes Milltronics businesses here in the U.S. and abroad.
Liberty Diversified International (LDI; New Hope, MN) has promoted Paul Wichert to group vice president for its Machine Tools Group, which includes machine tool companies Milltronics U.S., Milltronics China and Takumi Machinery Co., Ltd. of Taiwan.
Wichert, who reports to LDI president and chief operating officer Dan Zdon, joined LDI in 2011 as the general manager of the Milltronics businesses, headquartered in Waconia, MN. Zdon said, “In his time with LDI, Paul has demonstrated international business savvy and leadership as he has expanded the global footprint for our machine tools businesses. We are pleased to announce this promotion.”
Each of the companies in the Machine Tools Group is involved in manufacturing the machines used, in turn, to manufacture other goods. Products include computer numeric control (CNC) production and tool room machines, horizontal and vertical machining centers, plus various mills, turning centers and lathes.
Wichert has had previous management roles with Ellison Technologies and Samsung Machine Tools of America. A resident of Plymouth, MN, he is a cum laude graduate of the University of Wisconsin
