FMA Elects New Officers and Directors
The organization representing the metal processing, forming, and fabricating industry elected a new chairman along with other directors and officers to its board.

The organization representing the metal processing, forming, and fabricating industry elected a new chairman along with other directors and officers to its board.
Rick Hargrove, the vice president of steel processing at American Strip Steel/MarinoWare (Pasadena, TX); Carlos Mendizabal-Perez, the vice president of Industrias Selbor SA de CV (San Luis Potosi, Mexico); Ed Severson, the district manager of SB Specialty Metals, (Minneapolis, MN); and Gregg Simpson, the president of Ohio Laser, LLC (Plain City, OH) were elected to the board of directors of the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, International (FMA; Rockford, IL) at the group’s recent annual meeting. All will serve three-year terms on the 18-member board.
Current board member Burke Doar, the vice president of sales and marketing at TRUMPF Inc. (Farmington, CT) was elected chairman. Doar became active on the FMA board in 2005.
In addition to Doar, other board officers for 2012-2013 are Carlos Rodriguez-Borjas, the president and chief operating officer at Feralloy Corp. (Chicago, IL), as 1st vice chairman; Edwin Stanley, the vice president of GH Metal Solutions (Fort Payne, AL), as 2nd vice chairman; and Al Zelt, the director of sales and marketing at ASKO, Inc. (Homestead, PA), as secretary/treasurer.
Based in Rockford, FMA is a professional organization with nearly 2,500 members working together to improve the metal processing, forming, and fabricating industry. Founded in 1970, the organization brings metal fabricators and fabricating equipment manufacturers together through technology councils, educational programs, networking events, and the FABTECH® tradeshow.
