Flexible systems from Wolf Robotics switch between arc welding, plasma cutting, oxyfuel bevel cutting, pre-heating, etc. using precision tool changers to automate complex parts that once required multiple robots or systems.
In Booth N-4910 Wolf Robotics LLC (Fort Collins, CO) offers robotic systems that can switch between multiple processes, including arc welding, plasma cutting, oxyfuel bevel cutting, pre-heating, etc., using precision tool changers.
When oxyfuel cutting or pre-heating, the flame is constantly monitored to ensure its presence. In the event that the equipment loses the flame, the robot automatically re-ignites the torch without having to move to a set ignition point, continuing with a limited amount of error.
When welding is required, the robot exchanges the plasma or oxyfuel torch for a welding torch. Wolf Robotics can provide a variety of torches for different applications. This technology allows for more flexibility in robotic automation of complex parts that once required multiple robots, or systems.
Also being displayed is LeanArc®, a standardized arc welding solution delivered ready-to-weld. LeanArc systems are a cost-effective way to automate your fabrication operations, improving productivity, efficiency and profitability. Wolf Robotics has introduced a full line of standardized cells. With a variety of positioners, robots and peripherals available, LeanArc can meet your specific production needs.
These systems are equipped with features that optimize productivity and minimize downtime. Advanced error handling, production monitoring and self diagnostics are just a few of the ways systems ensure increased efficiency and production quality. New built-in tolerance measurement capabilities help to ensure that parts are built to your specifications, every time. Visit Airgas booth N-5231 to see a LeanArc cell in action.
SmartDock™ is a simplified, low profile and robust means of interchanging tooling fixtures on your robotic welding positioner. This easy-to-use, safe and secure system allows precise locating of new fixture layouts. The SmartDock system offers scalable sized mounting grid plates that can be quickly attached to your Wolf Robotics positioner using all rolling contact clamping instead of sliding surfaces to prevent galling or lockup problems.
Loads are transferred directly to the positioner’s main slewing ring enabling a high load capacity. Moving parts are covered and protected by the secondary grid plate providing full surface access for mounting and clamping of weldments.
SmartDock features high load capabilities, scalable to different needs. The simple design allows for easy loading/unloading, and the unique tooling platform accommodates different part shapes and sizes. Designed for high mix, low volume applications, SmartDock allows for large tooling platforms to be safely and securely interchanged on Wolf Robotics positioners. www.wolfrobotics.com
