All of the personal traits that I admired about Tony – his respect and care toward others, his responsibility and fairness, his trust in people and the way they could trust him – all of these characteristics were built upon his Christian beliefs and worldview. He loved to discuss the Scriptures and the deep importance of their meaning in our lives today.

Tony Morrison is no longer with us, but his legacy lives on in the missions of Fabricating & Metalworking and Industrial Machinery Digest, and in the hearts of all the people who have had the pleasure of working with Tony through the years.

In fact, his legacy has already passed on to his wife Janna, who moved up from her previous duties as vice president of Alliance Communications, Inc. (the parent company of Fabricating & Metalworking) to take over as president of the company and publisher of the magazine. Her years of experience in the publishing industry have already begun to make our organization, our products and our services stronger than ever before.

Though our leadership has changed, our commitment to our readers and our customers remains unchanged: Fabricating & Metalworking will continue to connect the buyers and sellers of fabrication, welding and machine tool technologies through rich technical content and targeted multimedia advertising that serves job shops and contract manufacturers. That is our promise to you.

Before we return to the showtime of IMTS, please join me in a moment of silence to honor and celebrate the life of a great publisher and a dear friend. He will be missed.
