MC Machinery Systems, Inc. (Wood Dale, IL) will display several new technologies and product lines at IMTS 2012 in Booth N-6825, including the revolutionary new wire EDM cylindrical drive technology, Waterjet series, and MC Milling line. Mitsubishi’s full supply chain is backed by its industry-leading service and support network.

Mitsubishi EDM’s newest MV wire machines feature design and engineering improvements to exceed all other wire EDM machines on the market, including: non-contact cylindrical drive technology, an improved power supply, auto-threading, deeper submerged-wire threading capabilities, and more.

The new cylindrical drive technology offers a simple yet intelligent design concept using a linear shaft motor. Other EDMs built on a linear system are a flat-plate design, which limits the effective magnetic flux to only half of its potential. The round magnetic shaft creates a non-contact design using the full 360 deg of magnetic flux. This design delivers no wear, no cogging (inherent in flat plate systems), and no backlash – all for better energy-efficiency, accuracy, and speed.

Also on display will be four of the new MC Milling Diamond Cut general purpose milling vertical machining centers. Machines to be showcased include the drill/tap TV500 with pallet changer, the ultra-rigid DM series for die/mold applications, the heavy-duty boxway SV series for large parts, and the general purpose MCV series. Rounding out the MC Milling line, the high-speed, high-precision Roku-Roku HC-658 with robot will be on display, demonstrating superior repeatability and positioning accuracy.

The new entry-level MWX3 Waterjet machine, ideal for production environments and customers new to Waterjet, will be on exhibit inside the booth. The machine’s solid base construction and cantilever head design make it both reliable and affordable, while a M720 CNC control delivers advanced programming capabilities, and simple operation.

MWX3 comes standard with a high pressure S-50 KMT pump, which provides 60,000 psi of water traveling up to Mach 2 with 1.09 gpm of water consumption through a maximum orifice size of 0.013 in. The reciprocating hydraulic piston to ceramic water piston ratio is 20:1, pushing the water into an accumulator that maintains a smooth even flow to the cutting nozzle.

The Consumable Products Group (CPG) will showcase its extensive line of OEM quality consumables. CPG products maximize efficiencies and increase EDM machine’s longevity. The product line includes filters, brass wire, zinc-coated wire, diffusion-annealed wire, power-feed contacts and power-feed conversion kits.

Mitsubishi’s superior products are backed by industry-leading service and support. With regional satellite service locations across the country, our localized service teams can respond instantly. Our knowledgeable service team will be at the booth to discuss how Mitsubishi goes above and beyond to deliver excellence in customer service. www.mitsubishi-world.com
