The award recognizes consistent efforts in continuous education and training, including encouraging sales people to seek Certified Machine Tool Sales Engineer (CMTSE) certification and other training across all job functions and titles.

 

United Grinding (Miamisburg, OH) announced that at the recent MFG meeting held in March in Orlando, FL, Pete Borden, the strategic initiatives officer of AMT – the Association for Manufacturing Technology (McLean, VA), awarded the 2011 Professional Development Award to four AMT member companies that earned the award by demonstrating a consistent effort in continuous education and training by encouraging their sales people to seek Certified Machine Tool Sales Engineer (CMTSE) certification, in addition to placing considerable effort in their training programs across all job functions and titles.

Borden presented the awards to Tim Kilty, the chief executive officer of Ellison Technologies Inc. (Wyoming, MI); Brad Morris of The Morris Group Inc. (Windsor, CT); Christy Lincoln, the corporate marketing manager for United Grinding Technologies (Miamisburg); and Brian Papke, the president and CEO of Mazak Corporation (Florence, KY).
