CAM2 Gage 2.2 contact measurement software from FARO Technologies makes the FaroArm and FARO Gage even better, with more than 30 new features.

FARO Technologies, Inc. (Lake Mary, FL), the world’s most trusted source for 3D measurement technology, today announced the release of CAM2 Gage 2.2, the latest software update for the company’s leading lines of portable measurement solutions, the FaroArm and FARO Gage. New features like enhanced QuickTools, barcode functionality and temperature compensation dramatically expedite and improve the accuracy of measurement routines. These and over 30 more new features make CAM2 Gage 2.2 one of the company’s most complete solutions for fast, high-accuracy contact measurement.

The QuickTools functionality permits users to import and use QuickTools programs generated in FARO CAM2 Measure 10. Barcodes can now be created directly in the CAM2 GAGE software and saved together with the inspection plan data. One click with the new FARO barcode reader and the inspection plan is instantly loaded in the CAM2 GAGE software. The result is exceptional speed for frequently-repeated, everyday measurements.

As part of the newest update to CAM2 Gage, FARO’s temperature probe provides feedback on part temperature during measurement routines. This is important since variations in temperature can adversely affect the accuracy of measurements. By closely monitoring and automatically compensating for these changes, CAM2 Gage helps ensure users receive consistent and accurate results despite changing measurement conditions.
