KW Industries (Sugar Land, TX), one the world’s leading lighting pole manufacturers, is building a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant and has placed orders for their entire production line from Hydrapower International Inc. (Marco Island, FL). The new facility will use all Hydrapower equipment, beginning with the coil processing and taper slitter, followed by the turn over wheel, sheet in feed, 1100 ft x 50 ft CNC press brakes with automated sheet positioner feeder, conical die set, exit conveyor and seam welder with entry loader.
Jim White, the president of KW Industries, is excited about the precision and cost effectiveness of production using this advanced integrated system. The automation associated with this production line will allow the workforce of about six production workers to make about 100 poles per 8-hour day.
Hydrapower has the world’s largest product line and specializes in big press brakes. It also has a huge automation line and has created special designs and engineering geared to pole manufacturers. The company is celebrating its 40th year of being a design leader in metal forming technology and automation with licensees/alliances worldwide that have installed more pole manufacturing systems then any other brand.
