Competitive “go to” business strategy focuses on offering markets the most complete offering of drilling and tapping solutions in North America.
High Performance Holdings, Ltd. (HPH; Rockford, IL) acquired the assets of the former Universal Automatic Corporation (Des Plaines, IL) earlier this month from Engis Corporation (Wheeling, IL). HPH goes to market under the Rockford-Ettco Procunier banner and operates facilities in Rockford and Lakeland, FL.
The Universal Automatic brand is an addition to the Rockford Drill Head, Ettco Machine Tool and Procunier brands as part of a comprehensive strategy to provide the most complete offering of drilling and tapping solutions in North America.
“We are very pleased to add the Universal Automatic product line to our portfolio. This acquisition further positions us as the “go to” company for specialized drilling and tapping equipment,” stated Larry Bull, the president and CEO of HPH. “UA is a quality company, with a history of producing durable, high quality equipment. This is a very good fit for Rockford-Ettco Procunier.”
Universal Automatic, founded in 1957, manufactures automated machine tools for customers in the fastener, automotive, electrical component, and aerospace industries. This acquisition will become part of the operations in Rockford. No additional employment is anticipated in the short term.
