COE Press Equipment (Sterling Heights, MI) recently shipped a new press feeding line to John Deere Horicon Works in Wisconsin for the manufacture of lawn and garden tractors and lawnmowers. The new coil feed line can handle coil width up to 18 in, coil weight capability up to 10,000 lb, and can process steel up to .250 in thick x 8 wide at 50,000 PSI yield strength. The coil feed line can attain a roll speed of 80 fpm.
The line features a ServoMaster Series 4 in diameter roll feed with motorized passline height adjustment and end of stock electric-eye shutoff; an adjustable threading table; and a 350 Series power straightener with 15 hp AC digital control variable speed drive and an automatic lubrication system.
