Tru-Cut Saw Inc. (Brunswick, OH) redesigned its website to make it easier for customers to identify and select the right saw blades for their applications from the large variety of blades offered by the company.
Richard Otter, vice president, acknowledged that its old website didn’t go far enough in assisting customers in blade selection. “Our new website provides application and performance data on our carbide-tipped blades, as well as cermet, friction and hot saws, and high-speed steel saws,” he said. “We also offer saw blade coating recommendations for cutting popular materials.”
For customers who are unsure of the type of blade they need, Tru-Cut offers a “Build A Blade” section where they can input sawing machine type, material specs, and current saw blade information. The company will then recommend the best saw blade for that machine and material to be cut. Tru-Cut will also visit customers’ plants to inspect their current sawing operations and recommend productivity and cost saving improvements.
Tru-Cut Saw is the only circular saw blade manufacturer in the U.S. with two in-house PVD coating chambers with a capacity to coat parts up to 1200 mm in diameter. This allows the company to tightly control coating quality and uniformity, and permits adjustments for individual customer applications.
