MetalTek International (Waukesha, WI) and Sandusky International (Sandusky, OH) announced that they have closed on their deal to combine resources and become a technological world leader in papermaking machinery and engineered products utilizing their experience in metallurgy and the centrifugal casting process.
Sandusky enjoys a leading global position in papermaking machinery. Employing advanced centrifugal casting technology, alloy expertise and market presence, Sandusky is regarded as the premier supplier of stainless steel and bronze suction roll shells, Polycast and dual-metal steel shells and other value-added products for the worldwide paper machinery market. The company has operations in Sandusky and Glenrothes, Scotland.
Operating from five separate facilities throughout the United States and the UK, MetalTek International provides products to customers in 30+ countries and in 7 major markets. “We are very excited to have assembled what we believe is the most powerful force in centrifugal casting throughout the world. Our customers will benefit from the synergies that we will realize from combining our two companies,” said Robert Smickley, president and CEO of MetalTek. “The combination of new capabilities, expanded technical expertise, and global presence will allow us to become an even more valued partner in our markets. This is just the next step in realizing our vision to be the world leader in metalworking technology and products.”
