A fin tube removal tool that lets an operator rapidly remove up to 4 in of fin from a tube OD without chipping hammers, grinders, dirt, dust or excessive strain is available from ESCO Tool (Holliston, MA).
The MILLHOG Fin Tube Removal Tool features a patented blade design that cleanly separates the fin from the OD of a tube in one step. Capable of peeling back 4 in of fin in less than two minutes, this rigid ID clamping tool has no reaction torque, requires no cutting fluids, and eliminates the need for chipping hammers, grinders, dirt and dust.
The cutter blade is made from a high grade of steel and can be resharpened.
