Brilex Industries, Inc., (Youngstown, OH) and Excent Group (Toulouse, France) have entered into a joint venture agreement via Brilex’s purchasing a 50 percent ownership stake in Enexa, Inc., their U.S.-based subsidiary. Alex Benyo, vice president of Brilex, and Philippe Chaumes, CEO of the Excent Group of France, finalized the agreement in Toulouse, France, on July 30. Enexa will become the fifth company to join the expanding Brilex group of companies.
“The strong working relationship and mutual respect that developed over the past year while working together provided for this exciting opportunity,” Benyo said. Brilex Industries and Puls-Action (a subsidiary of Excent Group) were supplying equipment for a customer in the electrical generation equipment industry where they realized their complimentary talents.
“Excent’s people were very impressed with all of our efforts in the design work assistance as well as the high-quality manufacturing of the equipment; therefore, they desired to combine our talents with theirs, and the feelings were mutual,” Benyo said. Enexa’s primary focus will be on serving the OEMs in the energy equipment, aeronautical, space and other industries who require specialized lifting and positioning equipment for their assembly process.
Each company in the Brilex group of companies will bring something to the table. Brilex will provide the sales and marketing services to promote the companies' capabilities and will perform the manufacturing in Youngstown. Excent, through their subsidiary Puls-Action, will perform the design, engineering and project management functions (assisted by the Brilex Group’s Boltech, Inc.). Brilex Industries is a premier supplier of medium to large, high-quality fabrications, machining and assembly to heavy industry worldwide. The Excent Group is a design/build firm specializing in lifting and positioning equipment for the aeronautics, space, automobile, rail, energy, medical, agro-industry and research industries.
