Kingsland (Sheringham in Norfolk, England), a member of the Haco International Group, has designed an affordable replacement for the older C-Frame presses in the market. The company offers two models, the HPE 80 and HPE 110, with respectively 80 ton and 110 ton pressure capacities and improved safety features. Dimensions on the bottom table base are 23 in x 31 in and at the moving cylinder base is 15 in x 15 in. Depth is set by an adjustable limit switch or through pressure setting.
The maximum stroke length is 6.3 in, the throat is 20 in and the daylight opening is 15-3/4 in. The fix down working speed is 106 ipm and fix up return speed is 146 ipm, with a working height of 29-1/2 in. The presses use a 20 hp motor. The HPE 80 has a net weight of 8,800 lb and machine dimensions of
95 in height x 40 in width x 93 in length. For safety reasons, a two-hand control comes standard with the machine. Optionally, Kingsland can configure the safety cages depending on the tool set-up and application.
The presses use a two-hand control actuation device for safety. Clamping of the dies and tooling through T-slots in upper and lower table (Metric16 = 5/8 in). Each press is designed for user comfort, i.e. user can be seated with knees under the bolster base. The bottom table has a slug hole in the middle. All Kingsland HPE machines are built to conform to ANSI B11.5 "American National Standard for machine tools – safety requirements for construction, care, and use". However, due to the multi-purpose use of some of the
equipment, the purchaser shall be responsible for the proper installation and continued use of point of operation guards or awareness barriers to assure complete operator safety.
Kingsland has been established for over 60 years as an innovative designer and manufacturer of top quality Universal Steelworkers, punching machines, accessories and tooling. In 1991, Kingsland became part of the HACO International Group, a Belgian based multi-national company which was founded in 1965. Kingsland Engineering continues to expand with on-going investment in CNC design, manufacturing systems, premises and people. It is here where Kingsland offers full service facilities.
From a sales center at Tipton in the West Midlands, the manufacturer has a full showroom facility and is able to demonstrate its own machines and the range of machines manufactured by sister companies within the HACO Group.
