Ideal for reducing rework and improving productivity during the semi-automatic welding of carbon steels, Hobart Brothers? (Troy, OH) Tri-Mark® TM-711M gas shielded flux-cored wire can also be used for welding higher strength steels in applications where E71T-1C/E71T-1M filler metal properties are deemed adequate. TM-711M welding wire is recommended for both single-pass and multi-pass welding, enhances penetration and improves deposition rates in all positions.
The TM-711M wire offers outstanding arc characteristics using both 100 percent CO2 or a mixture of 75 percent Ar/25 percent CO2 shielding gas. Featuring a quick-freezing slag system that helps welding operators produce vertical-up beads with a flat bead contour, the highly directional arc of TM-711M also makes welding in the overhead position easier than with other all-position flux-cored wires. The wire is available in four standard diameters (.035 in, .045 in, .052 in and 1/16 in) and is a good choice for shipbuilding and repair, as well as for general structural and fabrication work.
