AK STEEL ANNOUNCES JULY 2010 SURCHARGES FOR STAINLESS STEELS
A $395 per ton surcharge will be added to invoices for electrical steel products shipped by the steel manufacturer in July.

AK Steel (West Chester, OH) has advised its customers that a $395 per ton surcharge will be added to invoices for electrical steel products shipped in July 2010. July 2010 surcharges for the broad range of stainless steel products that the company produces can be found on the company's web site. These surcharges are based on reported prices for raw materials and energy used to manufacture the products, with the May 2010 purchase cost used to determine the July 2010 surcharges.
AK Steel employs about 6,200 men and women in Middletown, Mansfield, Coshocton and Zanesville, OH; Butler, PA; Ashland, KY; Rockport, IN; and its corporate headquarters in West Chester, OH.
