ESAB Welding & Cutting Products (Florence, SC) offers its A2 Multitrac subarc welding tractor. The Multitrac is a self-propelled tractor with four-wheel drive for stable, accurate and constant operation. Designed for use with DC or AC power sources, the compact and efficient design of this tractor allows easy movement between workpieces. Horizontal, vertical and rotary slides allow quick adjustment of the weld nozzle to various positions. Reliable design also ensures consistent performance even in harsh environments.
The Multitrac is available in two forms. The PEH version features ESAB's A2-A6 PEH process controller, which provides a digital display allowing accurate preset of all welding parameters. The PEI version can connect to most analog DC power supplies and features the A2 PEI process controller. This controller allows simple setting of travel speed, voltage, and wire feed speed and features two start methods: direct start or scratch start. A heavy-duty feed unit ensures an even and stable wire feed, a prerequisite for top quality, homogenous welding
Many specially developed accessories are available on both models to meet a wide range of application needs.
