With the MaxMesh? Belt Systems, The Wheelabrator Group (La Grange, GA) offers surface preparation solutions for low-profile parts and components that are typically difficult to process on a conventional roller type conveyor or tumbling barrel style operation. The mesh conveyor belt allows for continuous blast cleaning without the possibility of damage from part-on-part contact.
The Wheelabrator® belt systems offer a cost-effective, highly automated and productive solution for a variety of surface preparation needs serving multiple industries. The strategic positioning of the blast wheels throughout the cabinet provides maximum cleaning coverage for complex parts loaded across the conveyor width. The wider the conveyor belt, the wider the coverage area for parts to be fed simultaneously through the blast cabinet, thus increasing productivity. The machine is designed for use with recyclable, long-lasting steel shot, providing an overall low cost operation. The MaxMesh Belt System comes standard in four model sizes with the Manganese mesh belt ranging from 27 in to 60 in wide and featuring up to eight blast wheels.
MaxMesh blast systems are designed specifically for economical and productive descaling, surface finishing, de-burring and profiling of parts up to 8 in tall. Parts commonly cleaned using the MaxMesh Belt Systems include cut plates and structural shapes, small fabrications, stampings, forgings, castings and paint hooks.
