The IFH Group, Inc. (Rock Falls, IL) acquired Williams Powder Coating (Phophetstown, IL) and created a new division ? Powder Coaters, LLC, the latest step in The IFH Group?s vertical integration program that will complement the company?s extensive capabilities in fabricated metal products of virtually all types and sizes.
?Now we can fabricate, sandblast and powder coat a wide range of vehicle chassis, large weldments such as tanks and trailers larger than 5 ft x7 ft square x 10 ft long, and a wide variety of special products,? said Keith Ellefsen, vice president of operations at Powder Coatings. ?Just tell us what you need.?
The IFH Group (Innovative Fluid Handling Group) designs and manufactures custom hydraulic oil reservoirs and fuel tanks for on- and off-road vehicles as well as fluid storage & dispensing systems for oil and lube rooms and mobile lubrication carts. The company provides on-site design and assembly assistance, as well as standardization of the materials and components required in customers? products to offer the most competitive price. The company practices kanban and maintains a broad inventory at The IFH Group?s factory and vendor facilities for immediate build, quick assembly and fast delivery.
?Many of our customers know we are a major source of hydraulic oil reservoirs, fuel tanks and fluid storage and dispensing systems,? said Ryan McCarty, director of sales at IFH. ?But we also have extensive capabilities in metal fabrication of all types of products, including vehicle frameworks, production part assemblies, large grease reservoir units for restaurants, and small to large custom reservoirs in many types of materials including mild steel, stainless steel, aluminized steel and aluminum.?
In addition to functioning as a vertically integrated member of IFH manufacturing operations, the new division will service the powder coat customer on a national level. Types of products currently being processed include race car and a variety of other vehicle chassis, tanks, large and small weldments, motorcycle parts, lawn furniture and anything else that needs to be powder coated. ?We already have a backlog of car chassis and other weldments,? said Ellefsen. ?For example, we can restore a race car chassis, sandblast it and powder coat it in any color you want.? Walk-in customers are always welcome, Ellefsen added.
