The City of Wixom welcomes Manufacturing Solutions and Technologies LLC dba Vitullo and Associates, a precision machining company, and new owner David Townsend to town. Townsend purchased the company late in 2009 and plans on keeping the business growing here in Michigan.

Vitullo Precision Machining currently has nine employees in a 16,000 sq ft facility in Wixom. Since 1987, the company has been diversified and a major supplier of parts, tools and fixtures to the automotive, agricultural, aviation, alternative energy, information technology and consumer goods industries. The company?s services include CNC machining, EDM and coordinate measuring machine (CMM) work-holding fixtures, loading systems, pallet changers and the technology to convert European designs and drawings into English.

Mayor Kevin W. Hinkley commented, ?We are thrilled that MST purchased Vitullo Machining and chose Wixom for their home. We stand ready to help Mr. Townsend and the entire company compete globally from their Wixom location.?

Townsend is still in the transitional phase and his company is busy with contracts and work as ordered. He said, ?Manufacturing Solutions and Technologies has state of the art machining capabilities and we also use our well maintained older machines as needed. We are a well diversified company and we employ some highly skilled machinists and workers. We manufacture quality products at competitive prices and that makes me very optimistic about our future. Wixom (Oakland County) is an excellent place for business opportunities and we are very happy and excited to be here. I am confident that the hard working people of Michigan will recover from this recession and we will make it a thriving and competitive state in which to live and work once again. We are strong people and determined people and we will make it happen. I am seeing a positive direction toward that in our industry.?
