MODULAR HYDRAULIC CHUCK SYSTEM IMPROVES RUN TIMES
Hainbuch America (Milwaukee, WI) extends its modular system to their stationary line of chucks with the Hydrok, a hydraulically-actuated stationary chuck that is available in hexagon and round variants. Both offer significantly higher holding power when compared to conventional 3-jaw chucks through Hainbuch?s pull-back effect, plus circumferential clamping.

With the hexagon version of the Hydrok, the holding power is increased by 25 percent over the round version due to full-surface contact in the clamping device body. According to Hainbuch engineers, this new design is responsible for significantly improved run times, a high level of process reliability and low maintenance intervals.
Meanwhile both variations offer changeover within minutes utilizing Hainbuch adaptations. From either O.D. clamping to I.D. clamping using the MANDO Adapt mandrel-in-the-stationary chuck, or from O.D. clamping to clamping via the stationary chuck with the jaw adapter. To ensure more rational production, multiple clamping pallets with four Hydrok units per pallet are also available.
