LISSMAC GmbH (Bad Wurzach, Germany), in its efforts to improve in-house manufacturing and fabricating processes, researched and subsequently developed a new and unique technology and in 2002 began manufacturing its own line of SBM sheet metal processing machines.
?Our machines are designed to process both sides, top and bottom, in one single pass. We achieve this major advantage by feeding the work pieces over a conveyor and roller system, with the tool belts running in between the rollers, perpendicular to the feed direction?, says LISSMAC Corporation Vice President Thomas Weinfurtner, ?Processing both sides of the metal pieces simultaneously in just one single pass, results in considerable time savings, compared to most of our competitors? machines.?
?After having exported our machines all over the world, including to the United States, we have decided that it was time for us to establish a company presence in America?, says Klaus Kiefer, President of LISSMAC GmbH, Germany and CEO of its American subsidiary, LISSMAC Corporation. ?With the United States being the world market leader in the sheet metal industry, we felt the need to be locally available and support our growing American customer base. Our commitment to the American market is evident: The new office and showroom was opened earlier this year with our full line of products, warehouse, service, customer support, and administrative offices. We are pleased to have Mr. Thomas Weinfurtner, a 15 year industry veteran head up the US operations. His expertise and invaluable knowledge of LISSMAC and its technology are fundamental for the support of our customers.?
?We now have the ability to process test samples for our potential customers. They can also come to visit our showroom and see the machines at work. We are expanding our affiliated dealer network and have factory trained service personnel and spare parts available at our new offices?, says Weinfurtner, ?As we move forward we continue to work with our customers to keep improving our machines. Our engineers in Germany use their feedback to constantly strive to improve performance and to anticipate the market?s needs for the future.?
LISSMAC?s US headquarters is at 356 Hudson River Road in Waterford, NY.
