Lincoln Industries president Hank Orme has announced that Bill Ellerbee has been selected to serve as vice president of operations.

Ellerbee brings an extensive operations background to his new position. After graduating from college, Ellerbee worked for the Maytag Corporation for 16 years. After spending his first four years in sales at Maytag, Ellerbee began serving in manufacturing roles. He held positions in logistics and purchasing and was also responsible for the assembly operations for Maytag's Newton, Iowa facility. When Maytag was purchased by Whirlpool in 2006, Bill moved to Chicago, where he served as vice president of operations at Federal Signal. In this position, he was responsible for operations at 10 Federal Signal facilities located throughout the world.

Last June, Ellerbee was selected as Lincoln Industries' director of materials and customer service. In this position, he was responsible for implementing and managing Lincoln Industries' new model for managing its day-to-day scheduling and customer service activities with customers.

A native of Hastings, Ellerbee is a 1989 graduate of the University of Nebraska, where he majored in finance.

"I am confident that Bill's extensive leadership experience will lead to new successes in operations at Lincoln Industries," said Orme. "Our future success is tied to our ability to initiate and support the changes we must make to strengthen our organization. Bill's appointment allows us to fill this important position with someone that gives me great confidence in our ability to meet the operations challenges we will face as we continue to grow our business."
