The Lincoln Electric Company (Cleveland, OH) has promoted Jeff Bennett to the position of managing director of Vernon Tool, which produces computer-controlled pipe cutting equipment for precision fabrication and was acquired by Lincoln Electric in November 2007 to expand its automation solutions.
In his new role, Bennett will oversee operations, marketing and business development for Vernon Tool. He will report to Christopher Bailey, general manager of Lincoln?s Automation Division.
Bennett has been with Lincoln Electric for 11 years holding several positions in the Automation Division, including senior mechanical engineer and assembly integration manager. Most recently, he served as the general manager of the Automation Solutions Group, Canada. In this role, he achieved record sales with a year-over-year increase of 60 percent. Bennett has a bachelor?s degree in mechanical engineering from Cleveland State University.
