Hypertherm (Hanover, NH) is a 2009 recipient of the WorldBlu List of Most Democratic Workplaces?.
The WorldBlu List standard is extremely high. Not all companies that applied or were on last year?s list made the list again this year. Selection is based upon results of the WorldBlu Democratic Workplace Scorecard?. The scorecard, designed to measure the amount of democracy practiced at an organization, was completed by a randomly selected group of Hypertherm associates. Responses were then analyzed by a team of WorldBlu judges who selected the top scoring organizations.
The organizations on this year?s list represent for-profit, non-profit and government sectors from a range of industries around the world including technology, healthcare, telecommunications, retail and services. This is the first year Hypertherm has participated in the WorldBlu competition.
"Democratic organizations are much more than great places to work,? said Traci Fenton, WorldBlu?s founder and CEO. "Organizations like Hypertherm are defying convention, rewriting the rules of business and pioneering the next generation of organizational design and leadership. The WorldBlu List of Most Democratic Workplaces seeks to recognize these mavericks and inspire others in the process.?
