Morgan Machining (Auburn Hills, MI) has announced its invention of the Jack Track Clip Tool. This patented new tool is used for applying clips to snowmobile tracks quicker and more cost effectively. Current track clip tools are manual and very time consuming. The Jack Track Clip Tool can clip an entire track in less than an hour whereas current manual tools can take up to 10 hours, making it very costly. ?What makes it unique is that our tool is pneumatic. One push on the button and you have applied one clip in seconds. It?s portable, lightweight and durable,? commented Steve Mobley, President of Morgan Machining.
The tool?s body is made of aluminum and the jaws are made with hardened steel for added durability. The company is targeting the product to snowmobile dealers, manufacturers and snowmobile enthusiasts in the United States. The retail price is $530.00.
?This is an example of how brilliant our manufacturing companies are here in Michigan. They?re using the innovation and problem solving skills learned in the automotive industry and applying them to other industries like recreational vehicles, aerospace, medical devices and alternative energy?, points out Irene Spanos, Senior Business Development Representative in Oakland County, Michigan. Spanos continues, ?There?s no other place on earth where so much technology, creativity and innovation exists other than in Southeast Michigan! We know how to make things here?and we can make them well!"
