Lincoln Electric's Cruiser? brings the advantages of the Power Wave® AC/DC 1000® inverter power source to fabrication yards with increased mobility and user-friendly capabilities. This rugged and durable tractor is specifically designed for welding large joints on heavy plate.
A self-propelled submerged arc welding tractor, the Cruiser? is ideal for welding heavy plates on barges, ships, large tanks, bridges and offshore platforms. The tractor has a rated output of 1000 amps at a 100-percent duty cycle and high weld deposition rates up to 60 lb/hr.
It features the proven industrial Power Feed? 10S wire drive design, rotating in two directions for any torch angle and feeds up to 7/32 in diameter wire. The Cruiser's mast and arm are constructed of heat treated aluminum alloy tubing which provides a rigid frame to keep the wire drive in a steady position.
The tractor can be configured to a three or four wheel operation, providing users the option of using the Cruiser? on or off the track. In addition, the tractor includes a joint tracking guide for increased set-up good stability and tracking of the weld joint, and its aluminum construction resists impacts and high temperatures for enhanced durability. The Cruiser's additional features, such as its lightweight pendant control with digital meters, allow the user to save procedures, apply procedure limits and lockout any or all controls.
