Sandvik Inc. is adding 51 jobs to its Mebane, North Carolina plant over the next three years, reports the Winston-Salem Journal (Raleigh, NC). These jobs will be added along with $85 million in capital investments. Sandvik received $150,000 from the state's One North Carolina Fund, a grant that encourages businesses to create jobs in the state. The company manufactures high-speed cutting tools, as well as stainless and high-alloy specialty-steel products. It operates 78 manufacturing plants in 59 countries. Its Mebane plant currently has 160 employees.
