Makita U.S.A., Inc. offers its 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Cordless Impact Driver, model BTD141. This powerful impact driver delivers more work (1,330 in/lb of max. torque) yet weighs just 3.4 lb.
?The BTD140, our previous 18 volt Lithium-Ion cordless impact driver, became the industry standard,? said Brad Wheeler, Makita product manager. ?With the new BTD141 we?ve added more power and made it easier to use with a ?one-touch? chuck, yet we kept the weight and the price the same. The BTD141 will become the new industry standard.?
The Makita built, 4-pole maximum torque motor with variable speed delivers 1,330 in/lb of torque, 3,200 impacts per minute, and 2,300 rpms for a wide range of fastening tasks. The BTD141 also has an excellent power-to-weight ratio, with a more compact design (5-3/4 in long) and less weight (just 3.4 lb, with battery).
The BTD141 is equipped with a ?one-touch? chuck. With no need to pull the sleeve for bit installation, this new chuck provides faster, easier bit changes. It also has a built-in L.E.D. light that helps illuminate the work surface. Ergonomically-shaped for comfort, this impact driver is essential for anyone working a full day on the job site.
Due to their versatility, impact drivers are gaining broader acceptance for a wide range of fastening tasks. The BTD141 impact driver is perfect for fastening screws, tightening down lag bolts, and drilling holes. For woodworkers, plumbers, HVAC, automotive mechanics, and many more, the BTD141 is capable of an assortment of applications.
The BTD141 is powered by Makita?s 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Battery Technology and Rapid Optimum Charging System, a breakthrough in cordless technology producing 430 percent total lifetime work with two-and-a-half times more battery cycles than the traditional Ni-Cd batteries.
