Patlite offers the new RFV model, which is an LED rotating beacon with field programmable audible capability. It can be used in a warehouse, production floor, or other locations in a factory to significantly improve safety by, for example, reducing traffic accidents.
It utilizes MP3 technology to accommodate many applications since any message(s) may be programmed into the unit. For example, when mounted on a forklift, the unit may have "Forklift approaching" programmed into it. An automated guided vehicle (AGV) may want to have the messages "Going forward," "Going backwards," "Turning left," or "Turning right" depending on the direction it takes. With a total programming time of 64 seconds, any MP3 file may be field programmed into 4 channels (bit input) or 15 channels (binary input). The RFV utilizes an LED and unique reflector to produce a brighter visual effect. The RFV mounted on forklifts or AGVs will grab the attention of everyone around it. Light from a rotating beacon is more visible than other lights, especially if someone is facing away from the light source.
