Cat Lift Trucks (Houston, TX) was recently awarded the Environmental Sustainability Achievement Award by Modern Materials Handling, a leading trade publication for the manufacturing and distribution industry. The award was a result of the publication?s first-ever ?Lift Truck Customer Satisfaction Study.?

Conducted by Modern Materials Handling in spring 2008, the study was created to measure user satisfaction of lift trucks used in manufacturing, distribution and logistics facilities and focused on 40 product and brand attributes distributed among six categories: overall satisfaction, product quality, value, service, product features, environmental sustainability and performance. Survey respondents included over 1,300 material handling professionals, who evaluate, specify and purchase lift trucks.

"Cat Lift Trucks is committed to doing our share of work to not only keep customers satisfied, but keep the environment clean as well,? said Kent Eudy, vice president of marketing for Cat Lift Trucks. ?We are proud to be recognized for our ongoing commitment and efforts in this category.?

As part of its commitment to the environment, Cat Lift Trucks product features and development efforts include:

  • ? EPA-compliant purePOWER? engines, which meet the stringent 2010 EPA emissions standards, while maintaining industry-leading performance.

  • ? Fuel Saver Mode, an optional feature that allows customers to reduce fuel consumption by up to 14 percent by controlling the truck?s acceleration.
  • ? MicroCommand AC control systems, which increase battery efficiency and truck performance.
  • ? Ongoing research and testing in hydrogen fuel cells, hybrids and emissions technology.
