Toyoda Machinery has announced a technology upgrade to its line of vertical machining centers. Toyoda has developed the FV Series, the second generation of vertical machining centers, designed for better performance and reliability. This line delivers larger table size, increased stroke, higher table capacity and more torque than the original machines.
The high-speed linear guide and box way VMCs offer a range of spindle options for high precision and heavy-cutting application. The FV Series ranges from 6,000 to 15,000 rpm and delivers high revolution accuracy, thermal stability, and maximum vibration dampening characteristics. The large precision spindle bearings increase rigidity and sustain higher load capacities. Toyoda's FV Series has an extremely rigid cast iron base and column, providing long-term accuracy and durability in high-speed machining. Many high-torque and direct-drive spindle configurations are available in CAT 40 or CAT 50 tapers. A conversational control and industry-standard Fanuc platform make the FV Series a practical addition to any shop.
